Tracking and certification platform for dairy production
Inale is an organization dedicated to supporting dairy producers. Their goal is to track every step of the production process to enable producers associated with the company to make informed, strategic business decisions. They also ensure the products meet specific quality parameters, providing certification.
Challenge
Inale faced the challenge of digitalizing the certification process to ensure accuracy and transparency. To that end, sensors had to be integrated into the production process, which would collect data on various parameters. Blockchain technology provided the solution for securing and unaltering data.
The main goal was to develop a platform that would track and verify the production process, ensuring that all stages complied with the standards necessary for certification and helping producers gain valuable insights into project production and sales.
As part of this process, QR codes were generated and managed for producers to monitor and identify the entire process.
Solution
The project involved creating a platform from scratch with an administrative interface and a producer interface. The administrative part allowed Inale to manage producers, types of products, and quality parameters and generate QR codes for tracking purposes.
The producer interface was designed to be intuitive ensuring it did not interfere with the process.
Producers scan the QR codes at various stages of production and uploaded this information to the platform, which was integrated with a blockchain system to ensure the data's authenticity.
The sensors installed in the production plants were linked to this system, continuously collecting data on factors like milk volume, temperature, humidity, and more. This data was cross-referenced with the established quality parameters, allowing the platform to determine whether the products met the standards required for certification.
Outcome
The platform provided valuable insights for producers, including production statistics and projections for sales and costs. This not only improved operational efficiency but also allowed producers to make more informed business decisions.
