Gambit

Gambit is a dating application operating in the United States that aims to distinguish itself from the competition by focusing on real face-to-face interactions. The app offers unique features and user experiences, which required a comprehensive UX/UI design approach to meet these specific challenges.

Challenge

Gambit aimed to provide users with distinctive interaction features and help them plan real-life dates. Users can either create their own plans, use pre-made plans offered by the app that include partnerships with local businesses, or utilize the randomizer for spontaneous adventures.

Branding

We played a pivotal role in shaping their branding identity, designing their logo, defining a color palette, typography, and brand assets. We also crafted visuals for their sales campaigns, supporting them in their strategy.

Mobile app

The app features various swipe actions for users to indicate their interest. These actions had to be intuitive and visually clear, enhancing the overall user experience.
Gambit also limited the number of likes a user can give within a set timeframe, encouraging thoughtful interaction and discouraging spamming. In addition, users have to spend a minimum amount of time viewing a profile to 'like' it. This requirement was designed to ensure more meaningful engagement. Gambit also introduced a unique feature where matches would expire after 72 hours if a date invitation wasn't sent.

We incorporated a clear and user-friendly interface for planning dates. This included an organized system for creating, selecting, and utilizing date plans.

Website

We used Webflow as a no-code tool to streamline their official website aimed at increasing app downloads and driving sales.

We created a comprehensive user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for their app, built from scratch.   We also played a pivotal role in shaping their branding identity, designing the app's entire user interface, their website, and crafting visuals for their sales campaigns.
